ICAST2009:
The 2nd International Conference on Adaptive Science & Technology (ICAST'09) was held 14-16 December 2009 at Protea Hotel, Accra, Ghana. The conference was very successful with participants from over 30 countries and four continents. One of the developments of ICAST was the attraction of sponsorship from the IEEE. ICAST2007:
The 1st International Conference on Adaptive Science & Technology (ICAST'07) was held 10-12 December 2007 at GIMPA Campus in Accra, Ghana was the first ICAST event. It was very successful was sucessful. However, the scope of the conference was very wide as it attempted to cover most disciplines. Seventy two participants and eight Accompanying Persons attended the conference. Two workshops were featured while many other special programs were cancelled owing to too low participation.
ICAST is a peer-refereed international conference bringing together researchers, academics, industry professionals, developers, policy makers, bureaucrats, administrators & any person interested in insightful dialog that promotes innovative & research-oriented strategies that improve human life. ICAST 2011 is a venue for networking experts and practitioners from all over the world engaged in all areas in information & communications technologies (ICT), electrical & electronic engineering, computer science & engineering, and related areas. ICAST also provides an opportunity for companies and organisations to showcase their products & services, and for entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities. The first ICAST meeting was successfully held 10-12 December 2007 in Ghana with two ministerial addresses and participants from several countries. The 2nd ICAST event was held 14-16 December 2009 in Accra with much success than its previous event. Thus, ICAST has been growing at exceptional speed to gain international reputation. In 2011, ICAST will be held in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria. Abuja is known to be one of the most safest, peaceful and culturally hospitable cities in Nigeria.
ICAST 2011 is a organized as a set of parallel symposia, each of which concentrates on a specific topic or reseach area. You are invited to submit papers of high quality to one or more of the SYMPOSIA featured. Details can be found at Call for Papers. Only full papers are solicited for review. All submitted proposals will be reviewed by at least two experts in the specialty of the paper, and only papers accepted by peer referees will appear in the conference proceedings. Papers will be accepted based on significance of work, originality, technical content, interest to a wide audience and clarity of presentation. All papers shall submit to the double-blind review process. Hence, authors are asked to hide their identity from their submissions.
Selected papers will be published as special issues in international journals such as AJICT. Extend versions of selected good-quality papers will be published as chapters of edited books. Both proceedings are edited books shall be published by Research Publishing Services, Singapore.
The ICAST 2011 conference will comprise a very rich of activities, including several invited keynote speakers, Technical Sessions, Tutorials, Workshops, short courses, Design and Developers Forum, Industrial Showcases, Investors Forum, and a Graduate Students Program.
